What do we do? You need not be a poet to attend, just a lover of words; following our guest speaker's reading, we will present our Round-Robin Open Mic -- don't be shy. Please bring one of your own poems or a selection from your favorite poet and enjoy sharing words with other writers, readers and good listeners. Cara Nusinov, P.T.P., ReadPoemsWithMe© will lead a poetry workshop with "poetry prompts" to inspire your creativity. Laptops are welcome - Free WIFI.

Doreen LoCicero, B.S., M.A. is an artist and writer living in and working from her 1932 cottage studio in Coconut Grove. She received 1st place awards for both Best Poem and Best Essay from the Annual Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society and was published in What Oft Was Thought. She is a consultant specializing in business development, event planning and marketing; served as the Artistic Director for the Coconut Grove Peacock Tour, an artist in the Coconut Grove Post Office Children's Mosaic Project and is currently the Development Manager for the Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre. She and her husband Robert Perkins own the French-style crêperie, CrepeMaker Café on Miracle Mile and are honored to be your hosts for the Poetry Buffet.
